The principal goal of organic production is to develop operations that are sustainable and harmonious with the environment
As defined in the Canadian Organic Standards, General Principles and Management Standards (CAN/CGSB-32.310)
- COG offers training and resources to raise awareness about organics and assist farmers and gardeners in adopting sustainable and commercially viable, organic production methods.
- COG engages in policy work and industry development at the local, regional and national level, and
- COG gives organic farmers and consumers a voice to governments on farm and food-related matters.
