What: Food System Roundtable Waterloo Region Annual General Meeting (AGM)
When: July 10, 2025 6:00 – 8:30 pm. Conversations, connections and meal at 6 PM with AGM to follow.
Where: Balsillie School of International Affairs: 67 Erb St. West, Waterloo (corner of Caroline and Erb; bike: parking on site, transit: uptown Ion/bus stops, car: parking across the street or in the Town square)
Why: Dinner will be provided! Learn about what The Food System Roundtable Waterloo Region is and how you can participate if you are not yet familiar; contribute your ideas, perspective and passion to important issues. We need many hands and perspectives to make this work impactful and lasting. We need you!

Enjoy a meal with us and share in conversation about what we have been up to over this past year in activating networks in this community, and help us envision the year ahead! We want to share news about a successful grant in partnership with the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems, Wilfrid Laurier University, and the University of Waterloo. And we want to work together to plan for a skillshare event where we can teach and learn together about food ways: growing, raising, and preserving food, and practicing a culture of connection to food and land and water.
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: We are seeking to fill the following positions on our board: Chair (or co-chairs!), Secretary, Treasurer, and additional Director positions (with leadership roles available in communications, policy +). Volunteers for ad hoc positions (like coordinating events, social media, and blogs) are also welcome. Email us at foodsystemroundtablewr@gmail.com if you would like to self-nominate (or nominate someone else interested) before the AGM and let us know what position you/they are interested in and why!
MEMBERSHIP: If you would like to become a member (to join the board, to vote at the AGM, and to support the work of the Roundtable), you just need to let us know you want to be a member and donate a token amount. To help us stay organized, please submit your membership requirements HERE. We can help you complete these steps at the AGM if you are unable to complete them before. Your membership year extends from this AGM to the next!
AGM documents to be shared shortly- look in this folder for the key AGM documents like the annual report, a bylaw amendment proposed, and our agenda! They will be added to the folder a week before the event (at the latest!)
